El Al To MIA Starts Tomorrow!

El Al's new Miami service is starting earlier than planned. Tomorrow in fact. El Al will operate a 777-200ER between Miami and Tel Aviv with a stop in Newark on Tuesdays and Sundays. For the winter timetable, flight will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Until now, El Al had thier subsidiary North American Airlines fly a 737-800 or 757-200 between Miami and JFK as a feeder flight 2-3x a week. Great to see El Al bringing same plane service between Israel and the world's second largest Jewish and Israeli ex-pat communities. Now, if we could only get rid of the Newark stop...

Oh yes, and for those interested, the flight lands inbound from Newark tomorrow morning at 0940 and takes off at 1110.

If the traffic warrants it, they could swing a -400 onto that route 2-3 days a week nonstop. If I doesn't "fly," they can always go back to MIA/EWR/TLV with a 772.
